Knights Handle Waikiki, Snag 7-2 Win
|
The Brooklyn Knights knocked off the Waikiki Wayfinders, 7-2, at Brooklyn Coliseum. John Espinosa was a big reason Brooklyn won. The catcher was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Knights are off to a tough start, getting just their 3rd win in 12 games.
Espinosa contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Brooklyn in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Espinosa took a curveball from Jon Flint and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Knights to leap in front, 2-1.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Espinosa.
