C Florez Given 3-Game Suspension Tuesday, June 18th , 2047 The league commissioner has zero tolerance when it comes to touching an umpire. That's the reason Oscar Florez of the Archies has been given a 3-game suspension. He apparently made too much contact with the home plate umpire while intensely questioning a called strike in a recent game at Porters Ballpark with the Dublin Porters. Florez said he would not appeal and would serve his suspension beginning today. For the year, Florez is hitting .248 with 6 home runs. His stats include 29 RBI and 19 runs scored. |
