Beard Takes AL #1 Pitcher Trophy Monday, July 1st , 2047 In June Detroit starter Phil Beard confused hitters all month long. Last month's Alliance League Pitcher of the Month took home the trophy as he collected a 4-0 record in 5 starts. The 23-year-old Beard added 37 strikeouts in 38.2 innings and 4 walks to his season record and compiled a 2.79 ERA. Other clubs hit .243 against him. This year, Beard has compiled a 11-2 mark with a 2.16 ERA in 15 starts. |
