Kanzaki Swats 3 Homers Wednesday, July 10th , 2047 Whatever Kenichi Kanzaki ate for breakfast before his game against the Kyiv Cossacks, it gave him some impressive power. The Saskatchewan left fielder smacked three balls up and out of the park at Kyiv Grounds. His home run barrage helped the 92's defeat the Cossacks, 9-4. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-4, scored 3 times, drove in 6 and put on a display that history will remember. Kenichi Kanzaki hit a solo-shot off Tom Call in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Tommy Nadeau in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Mark Powers in the 9th. For the year, Kanzaki has hit .321 with 20 home runs, 39 RBIs and scored 42 runs. |
