92's Pitching Ravaged by Jeffries Tuesday, July 23rd , 2047 The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs stopped the Saskatchewan 92's by a score of 8-3 at Stadium 92, with the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Jacob Jeffries. The 25-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Jeffries said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Jeffries did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the 92's. "Not much that I can say," offered Saskatchewan manager Salvador Rubio. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Jacob Jeffries singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year, Jeffries is batting .306 with 104 hits and 22 home runs.
