Adams Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Los Angeles Friday, June 18th , 2049 It was a doubly miserable day for Chris Adams of the Detroit Pizzas, as he saw his 24-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 3-0, to the Los Angeles Kings at Sportsman's Park. The 24-year-old center fielder was held hitless in 3 at-bats by the Kings. "Anyone on a 24-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Los Angeles manager Jim KP said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." Adams is swinging at a .336 pace on the year with 9 home runs, 39 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has played in 60 games. |
