Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Garcia Sunday, August 13th , 2051 Alex Garcia's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 2-for-5 in his team's 7-5 triumph over the East Haddam Hyenas at Team2 Ballpark. The 28-year-old second baseman has now hit safely in 31 consecutive games for the Archies. Alex Garcia singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Carlos Esquivel in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. Garcia is hitting .314 for the season with 15 home runs, 56 RBIs and 69 runs scored. He has 127 hits in 405 at-bats and played in 100 games. |
