Cabrera Wins FL Player of the Week Prize Monday, August 1st , 2050 When it came to hitting the baseball, Hugo Cabrera was in a class by himself in the Federation League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding first baseman for Sudbury tagged opposing pitchers for a .400 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 10 hits in 25 at-bats, 5 homers, 8 runs scored and 8 RBIs. For the season, Cabrera has produced 122 hits in 421 at-bats for a .290 average with 25 home runs and gotten on base at a .339 clip. |
