Hitting Streak Still Alive for Tyler Tuesday, August 20th , 2052 Khalil Tyler's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Long Beach left fielder smacked 1 hit against the Jacksonville Alligators in today's game at Paradise Ballpark, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Paradise drop the game, 8-7. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Khalil Tyler grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. For the season, Tyler is hitting .438, batted in 15 runs with no home runs and 23 runs scored. |
