Salazar Batters Cork Big Time Tuesday, September 3rd , 2052 Hugo Salazar got the glory and the headlines, but the Cork Claws left with the win. The Colorado Springs right fielder easily handled the Claws pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Colorado Springs Generals came out on the short end of the 8-7 score. Salazar told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end." Hugo Salazar singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Sam Hahn in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
