Longoria Raps Cork for 5 Hits Friday, May 8th , 2048 Victor Longoria was unstoppable, but the Grosse Pointe Better Mades were not. Despite his hitting heroics at Grosse Pointe Grounds, the Better Mades lost, 14-6, to the Cork Claws. Longoria battered Cork for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book. Longoria just shook his head after the game, telling BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins, not the most hits." Victor Longoria singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
