Ludwig Strokes 5 Hits Saturday, May 9th , 2048 It takes more than one player to win a baseball game - as proven by Bill Ludwig of the Galveston Gumdrops. The Galveston center fielder gave it his all and dominated Can Tho Cobras pitching at Can Tho Park, finishing with a great 5-for-6 line. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Cobras going home the winner, 16-12. "There's no point gloating about a 5-hit day in a loss," Ludwig said. "A loss just means you should have done more. Maybe I should have hit 5 home runs instead." Bill Ludwig doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
