Vidal Bashes 5 Base Hits Thursday, May 14th , 2048 Alfredo Vidal exploded for a barrage of base hits at Ballpark of Colorado Springs. The Colorado Springs second baseman had a field day in his team's 8-6 triumph over the Corpus Christi Beach Boys, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Vidal must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Alfredo Vidal singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Vidal is currently batting .409 with 3 home runs and 18 RBIs.
