Better Mades Pitching Ravaged by Stevens Wednesday, May 20th , 2048 Kynan Stevens was at the head of a Kalamazoo Kings hit parade at Grosse Pointe Grounds. The 20-year-old went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the Grosse Pointe Better Mades that marched off with the 11-6 win. "We didn't have it today," griped Kings skipper Roberto Vargas following the game. "Kynan did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching." Stevens did more than fine, dominating the Better Mades at the plate during his record-making 5-for-6 performance. "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging second baseman told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." Kynan Stevens singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
