Hodge Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Sunday, May 24th , 2048 Tom Hodge's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Cork. The 29-year-old second baseman extended it once again, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 3-for-6 performance against the Corpus Christi Beach Boys. The Claws won the game, 11-2. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Tom Hodge singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. For the year, Hodge is batting .511 with 46 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 56 times and driven in 24. |
