Beach Boys Jose Salas Down and Out for Year Monday, May 27th , 2047 Corpus Christi reliever Jose Salas could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn rotator cuff. He exited yesterday's Oklahoma City game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Salas would be out 4-5 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." This season, Salas has picked up no saves and posted a 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA. He has 8 relief appearances, tossed 12 innings and struck out 14. |
