Buffalo Halts Serejo's Hitting Steak Thursday, July 1st , 2049 The Nogales Nómadas del Sol lost to the Buffalo Red Sox, 6-0, at Fenway Park, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Zoraide Serejo's 24-game hitting streak. The center fielder went 0-for-3 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Serejo, we would win the game," Red Sox manager Brian Crunkleton explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." For the year, Serejo is batting .343 with 3 home runs. |
