CR Star of the Week Picked Monday, July 5th , 2049 Euharlee fans have something to crow about today as Euharlee third baseman Mike Devereaux nabbed the CBD Rookie League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Devereaux. He posted a .607 average (17-for-28) this past week with 1 home run, 4 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. Devereaux currently has a .324 batting average with 81 hits, 4 homers, 21 RBIs, 36 runs scored and a .394 OBP. |
