CBD Rookie League Names #1 Pitcher in July Tuesday, August 1st , 2051 The CBD Rookie League announced the winner of the Pitcher of the Month Award. It went to bullpen ace Jesus Lopez of Colorado Springs for his outstanding work on the mound. During the month, the Generals star stood out with 10 saves in 11 save opportunities, a 1.84 ERA and 1 win and no losses. In 14.2 innings he struck out 12 and gave up 13 hits and 4 walks. This year, Lopez has 20 saves. In 34 relief appearances he has hurled 41.2 innings, fanned 32 and given up 10 walks with a 3-2 record. The Colorado Springs reliever has recorded a 1.94 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .261 when he is in the game. |
