Straub Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Wednesday, July 13th , 2050 No matter what the Grosse Pointe Better Mades threw at him, Josh Straub hit it. He easily handled Better Mades pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Alligators triumph, 25-1, at Alligators Stadium. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Straub's quip, Better Mades skipper Gary McGraw said he "would take him up on that next time." Josh Straub flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Tony Velez in the 3rd, hit a sac fly in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
