Aces Win Round 1 Wednesday, September 9th , 2048 It was a rousing finish to the Round 1 at Aces Ballpark today. The Melbourne Aces sent the Long Island Ducks home for the season with a 4-2 win in the decisive game of the series. The Aces took the series 4-3. Up next on their schedule is the Round 2. Hauling in the MVP trophy was Melbourne right fielder Gene Dillard. His numbers included a .607 batting average, 5 RBIs and 8 runs. "With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the Round 2," he said. The Melbourne Aces will play against the Rhome Rhavioli in the next round.
