Super Swinger -- Duris Slams 5 Hits Saturday, July 30th , 2050 It was a good day for the Hooks at Hooks Ballpark as they clipped the Can Tho Cobras, 27-6. It was tremendous day for Eric Duris, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-6. "I don't know what to call that," the Oklahoma City left fielder told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Eric Duris singled in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Chris Cellars in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 4th and hit an RBI single in the 5th. Looking at his present stats, Duris has compiled a .384 batting average in 47 games with a .462 on-base percentage, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 32 runs. View Boxscore |
