Cork Tops Melbourne Saturday, September 26th , 2048 The Cork faithful were cheering in the streets, and Melbourne fans wiping away the tears, after the Claws won the Round 3 at Claws Ballpark today. The Claws clinched it by knocking off the Aces 11-10 to take their 7th CBD Rookie League crown. Cork took the series 4-2. "This club never gave up all year long," Cork manager Bryce DeMont told the press. "They believed they could win the title and they did." On the way to the Round 3 title, Cork compiled a 105-15 won-loss record and finished first in the Division 3. "We just didn't play well enough to win," Aces manager Jonathan Lawson said.
