Petticrew Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Friday, September 6th , 2052 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Shane Petticrew did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at Imperials Grove. For the last 20 games in a row, the 20-year-old second baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Mexico City Mole beat the Cloverleaf Imperials, 13-9. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Petticrew told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Mexico City clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Shane Petticrew singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Kyle Morgan in the 9th. Thus far this season in 121 games, Petticrew is batting .293 with 25 home runs, 57 RBIs and 77 runs scored. He has 137 hits in 468 at-bats. |
