Imperials Advance to League Championship Series Monday, September 23rd , 2052 Cloverleaf Imperials won a nail-biting series against the Portland Mavericks 3-2, wrapping up the Division Series finale 6-4 at Imperials Grove. Imperials center fielder Joe Yount was named the series MVP. He batted .471, drove in 9 runs and scored 6 to lead Cloverleaf into the next round of play. "Joe was real solid for us, real solid," said Imperials manager Jim Flores. "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time." The Cloverleaf Imperials will play against the Kansas City Hepcats in the next round. Kansas City won their series against the Royal Oak Faygo Pops 3 games to 1.
