Oilmen Lose Ramirez for Season
Saturday, July 29th , 2051
Tacoma shortstop Arturo Ramirez could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured achilles tendon. He exited yesterday's Calgary game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Ramirez would be out 8 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
Ramirez is hitting .205 so far this season with 7 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has 9 hits including 4 home runs, 7 walks and .314 OBP.
