Sanchez Keeps Hit Streak Alive

The Calgary Winter stopped the Tacoma Oilmen, 5-2, and Reynaldo Sanchez collected a base hit yet again. The Calgary first baseman finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25.
"I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Sanchez told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Reynaldo Sanchez hit a two-run home run off Alexis Piques in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Ricky Rendon in the 7th.
In his season totals Sanchez has 35 home runs and a .408 batting average.
