Lowry Sizzles -- Smokes Hepcats for 5 Hits
Friday, August 11th , 2051
5 times is the charm -- at least for Andy Lowry.
The Cloverleaf Imperials second baseman tore up the Kansas City Hepcats to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Imperials Grove. The offensive onslaught from Lowry powered the 4-3 Imperials win.
"Lowry was a tough out," Kansas City manager Paul Strzelczyk said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Andy Lowry tripled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This year, Lowry is hitting .316 with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .386 clip and scored 19 runs.
