Hepcats Move on to League Championship Series
Thursday, July 7th , 2050
The fans in Kansas City are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Mexico City.
The Kansas City Hepcats finished off the Mexico City Mole 7-3 in the deciding game of the Division Series played at Mole Grounds.
They took the series 3-2 and will now head to the League Championship Series.
For his standout play, Kansas City left fielder Ed Fischer was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.
He batted .364, drove in 7 runs and scored 6 to lead his club to victory.
"We could never really figure out how to pitch to Fischer and that doomed us," said Mole manager Jose Vasquez. "Hats off to Kansas City, though. That was a great series."
The Kansas City Hepcats will play against the Cloverleaf Imperials in the next round. Cloverleaf won their series against the Spokane Bulldogs 3 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
