Griese Schools Havana in 5-3 Yellowstone Triumph
|
Yellowstone right-hander John Griese pitched his team to victory over the Havana Sugar Kings at Volcano Ballpark. The final score was 5-3. Art Madsen, who finished 2nd in the AL in saves with 43 last year, earned the save for Yellowstone. With the win, Yellowstone boosts its record to 8-10.
Yellowstone starter John Griese was a master of his craft. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 2 hits over 8 innings.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Yellowstone manager GM AtticaOnline. "It's usually not just one thing."
