The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs rode a solid performance from 28-year-old starting pitcher Willie Sevilla to a win, beating the Lansing Red Storm, 5-0, at Ballpark of Atlanta. The winner was Sevilla. He threw 8.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Alex Martinez. Sudbury has a record of 49-34, placing them first in the Federation League Birdbrains Division.

Sudbury went up, 4-0, on Michel Carvalho's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Carvalho hit in the top of the seventh, left Lansing pitcher Alex Martinez shaking his head.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Carvalho.
