Yellowstone got a terrific game from third baseman Ryan Chiasson. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Detroit, 7-6. Chiasson was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs. The win lifted the Detroit record to 48-43.

Jose Caravaggio went 1-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Detroit. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Caravaggio, who finished 2nd in the AL in wins above replacement with 7.4 in 2046, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Yellowstone hurler Ramon Jacquez, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Pizzas a 7-6 lead.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Caravaggio.
