The Brooklyn Knights got a superb performance from center fielder Esteban Gonzalez, but the Hanoi Dragon Warriors still won the game, 7-5. Gonzalez went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Nick Rennie, who leads the AL in strikeouts with 180, was the winner. He's now 9-7. The loser was Ray Totino. With the win over Brooklyn, the Dragon Warriors improved to 50-48.
Hanoi right fielder Ronnie Viverette contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 65th hit of the season and put the Dragon Warriors ahead, 3-0.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Viverette.
