St. Louis Slaps 5-2 Loss on Waikiki
|
The St. Louis Archies racked up a win at Team2 Ballpark, bumping off the Waikiki Wayfinders, 5-2. Shuhei Ouchi, who started for St. Louis, pitched effectively for his team. Ouchi picked up the win for St. Louis, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 8-8. The Archies lead the Federation League Birdbrains Division by 11½ games.
Jim Stanton dealt the Wayfinders a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and St. Louis leading 1-0, Stanton, who finished 3rd in the FL in batting average with .333 in 2047, hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run single.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Stanton said.
