Noah Abitia had a good game, but he could not keep the Kyiv Cossacks from falling, 5-4, to the Havana Sugar Kings at Kyiv Grounds. The Kyiv second baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Kurat Feyzioglu recorded the save, his 14th. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for the Sugar Kings.
Havana took the lead, 5-3, on Mike Hieronymus's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Kyiv pitcher Zachery DeShields in the top of the seventh.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Hieronymus said (again).
