Archies fans were treated to an exciting walk-off win.

The St. Louis Archies topped the Detroit Pizzas, 4-3, in Federation League action at Team2 Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of St. Louis designated hitter Juan Mercado. St. Louis reliever Kyle Sanchez picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Vance Niec took the loss.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Mercado hit a fastball from Vance Niec for a solo home run. The Archies, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We did enough to win," said Mercado.

The Archies lead the Federation League Birdbrains Division by 8½ games.
