Los Angeles got a terrific game from center fielder Lugh Hughes. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Osaka, 9-7. Hughes was 4-6 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. At 53-67, the Takoyaki are currently third in the Federation League Birdbrains Division.

Osaka needed the clutch hitting of Mark Radford to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 18th inning to put the Takoyaki on top, 9-7. For the game, Radford had 1 home run and 1 single in 7 at-bats.
