The Lansing Red Storm did just enough to nip the Kyiv Cossacks, 5-4, in 12 innings. Lansing pitcher Larry Collier, in particular, had a standout performance. Alex Martinez came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 6-7. The second-place Red Storm go to 60-64.

Lansing used the hitting of Brian Bashaw to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Red Storm on top, 4-3. For the game, Bashaw had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
