Starting pitcher Matt Severson pitched well enough to help the San Antonio Aztecs beat the Detroit Pizzas, 4-3. The triumph makes San Antonio 48-95.

Willie Hernandez was the walk-off hero for San Antonio. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Aztecs first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Severson. "Successful pitchers do it."
