Los Angeles second baseman Nick Olveda had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to Havana at Sugardome II. Olveda went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Sugar Kings, at 72-82, sit in third place in the Alliance League Boneheads Division.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the eighth for Havana. That's when Pavlov Pantofel hit a 2-run home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Earl Alexander to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

Pantofel told a Havana Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
