Buffalo Lose By a Run at Detroit, 2-1
|
Pizzas Ballpark hosted a real pitchers' duel.
The Detroit Pizzas got a magnificent effort from pitcher Brad Riddick, who kept Buffalo hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Pizzas win at Pizzas Ballpark. Josh Cooper earned the save, his 24th, for the Pizzas.
In the bottom of the sixth, with Detroit leading 1-0, Curro Pacheco hit a fastball from Ricky Castillo for a run-scoring double, giving the Pizzas the lead, 2-0.
"I had everything working," said Riddick.
The Pizzas, at 94-66, sit in second place in the Alliance League Boneheads Division.
