Behind the hitting of Mike Bitzer, the Kyiv Cossacks stopped the Lansing Red Storm, 15-10. Bitzer went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 3 for the Cossacks. Jimmy Gold earned the save for Kyiv. With the loss, Lansing falls to 2-7.

Kyiv used a clutch at-bat from Kelvin William to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Cossacks ahead, 6-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Kyiv skipper Boris Lahutin.
