CBD Double A Announces July's Top Pitcher

Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Alex Harper, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Baltimore Jaspers reliever, 23, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .194 average and walked away with the CBD Double A Pitcher of the Month award for July.
Harper posted a 4-0 mark and a 1.77 ERA in no relief appearances. In 35.2 innings, he had no saves, 30 strikeouts, and 11 walks.
To this point in the season he has had no saves. Harper has made no relief appearances, tossed 139.1 innings and struck out 110 with a record of 13 wins and 4 losses.

Muzzy Cops CAA Batter of the Month Honors

Dave Muzzy made his presence known as one of the best young stars in the CBD Double A this past month.
The Hartford Defenders center fielder shined through the month of July and has won the Batter of the Month award.
The 23-year-old hit .398 with 8 home runs, 24 RBIs and 20 runs scored.
Batting .319 to date, Muzzy has 19 home runs and 70 RBIs.
