Loa Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
Friday, April 24th , 2048
Jonathan Loa got the glory and the headlines, but the Baltimore Jaspers left with the win. The Hamtramck left fielder easily handled the Jaspers pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Hamtramck Paczkis came out on the short end of the 10-8 score.
Loa told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win.
"Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end."
Jonathan Loa singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Dan Rogers in the 9th.
This season, Loa has delivered 21 hits in 58 at-bats for a .362 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .367 clip and his totals also include 18 RBIs and 6 runs scored. This year Loa has played in 14 games.
