Dreifus Shuts Out Glendale, 8-0 Wednesday, June 19th , 2041 It wasn't easy but the Walkerton Scarlet Knights made it look that way. Starter Josh Dreifus shut out the Glendale Skeeters despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Walkerton Scarlet Knights cruised to victory, 8-0. Dreifus allowed only 3 hits and rang up 4 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." Thus far this season Dreifus has posted a 4-7 record, started 14 games, struck out 80 batters in 87.1 innings and compiled a 4.33 ERA. View Boxscore |
