Pittman Whips Glendale, 6-0 Tuesday, May 21st , 2047 Phil Pittman of the Grand Rapids Whitecaps blanked the Glendale Skeeters, 6-0, in a complete-game win, limiting them to 1 hit while chalking up 7 strikeouts and giving up 2 walks. "He's got the makeup. He's not afraid to challenge guys," Grand Rapids manager Bobby Espinosa said to BNN reporters after the game. "Phil is poised out there. He knows how to pitch and how to use his stuff." Pittman has posted a 6-1 record for the year with a 2.14 ERA. Teams are hitting .240 against him and he has rung up 49 strikeouts in 67.1 innings.
