Boucher Pops 3 Out of the Park Against Skeeters Wednesday, June 29th , 2050 Jim Boucher added his name in the record books after an explosive home run spree against the Glendale Skeeters. But despite joining the select list of sluggers to hit three home runs in a game, it didn't guarantee a victory. The Baltimore Jaspers fell to the Skeeters, 6-3. In his big day at Ballpark of Baltimore, the Baltimore left fielder went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and scored 3 times. "It was just one of those days," he told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball. "You would think three homers would win most games. It was good to hit 'em, but a win would have really made my day." Jim Boucher hit a solo-shot off Edgar Mata in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Edgar Mata in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Santiago Velazquez in the 9th. Currently Boucher is hitting .318 and has collected 12 home runs, 41 RBIs and scored 52 times, while playing in 72 games. |
