Galway Wins Round 1 Friday, September 18th , 2048 The Galway Gales have booked their place in the Round 2. By a score of 8-3, the club ousted the Amarillo Armadillos in the Round 1 tonight at Gales Ballpark. Galway won the series by a 4-2 margin. The series MVP was Gales left fielder Chris Ross. For his part, the MVP said he is not putting too much stock in the individual honor and instead simply "looking forward to the next round." The Galway Gales don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Omaha Steaks - Santa Clara Vanguard series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece.
