Queens Prevail, as Round 1 Goes to the Wire Saturday, September 19th , 2048 The Chesterfield Queens were paced by a strong offensive output from Bennett Pyle as they downed the Baltimore Jaspers 4-3 to win the Round 1. Chesterfield won the final game by a score of 3-1 at Queens Ballpark to send themselves off to the Round 2. "I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said right fielder Pyle, who was named MVP. For the series, the MVP hit .500 with a .586 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 7 runs. The Chesterfield Queens will play against the Key West Lime Pies in the next round. Key West won their series against the Hartford Defenders 4 games to 0.
