Gales Win Round 2 Sunday, September 27th , 2048 The excitement in Galway is palpable as the local club has advanced through the Round 2. The Galway Gales downed the Omaha Steaks 9-1 tonight at Gales Ballpark, to take the series 4-2. "Things are going to get crazy in Galway for the Round 3. The fans are going to be behind us 100 percent, we know that," said Kasey Stephens, who earned MVP honors. "There's a lot of motivation in our clubhouse right now to make sure we give them something to cheer about." For the series, Stephens hit .348 with a .464 on-base percentage. He had 8 hits, 1 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 7 runs. The Galway Gales will play against the Chesterfield Queens in the next round.
